QEEG

What does QEEG mean?

QEEG means "Quantitative EEG" or "Quantitative Electroencephalography" and is a special way to look at the EEG. There are different ways to examine the brainwaves in order to determine causes of disorders:

One way is to determine (or rather suspect) by means of symptoms (lack of sleep, tics, ...) the brain areas that experience over-, under- or instable arousal.

Another way is to perform a "quantitative" analysis of the EEG on the basis of standardized databases. By comparison with the values of a healthy normal population, a quite secure diagnosis can be made. This is then called QEEG.

You can find the HBimed QEEG database and our QEEG systems in the HBimed shop.
